About Newnham College, Cambridge
Newnham College was founded in 1871 and is one of the colleges of the University of Cambridge. Established to expand educational opportunities for women, the college has a long academic history and remains known for its distinctive architecture, gardens and collegiate community.
Located on Sidgwick Avenue, Newnham is close to many of Cambridge's academic, cultural and historic sites. The college is particularly known for its extensive gardens, which provide green spaces alongside its teaching, residential and communal buildings.

No. We also offer a non-residential option for students who already have suitable accommodation and would prefer to travel to the programme each day. You can select the non-residential option when you apply. Residential students have accommodation and meals included according to their chosen programme package.
