Harrow School

Harrow School is the residential and teaching venue for Atlas Summer Courses’ Juniors aged 9–12 and Scholars aged 12–14. Students stay on-site, with accommodation, meals, teaching and programme activities forming part of their residential summer experience.

About Harrow School

Founded in 1572 under a Royal Charter granted by Queen Elizabeth I, Harrow School is one of England’s historic independent schools. Its campus in Harrow on the Hill brings together centuries-old buildings with classrooms, sports facilities, dining spaces and extensive grounds.

Atlas Summer Courses uses accommodation and facilities at Harrow School for its Junior and Scholar summer programmes. Students stay at the school throughout their programme, using it as their residential base while taking part in academic sessions, activities and their wider Atlas experience.

Atlas Summer Courses is independent of Harrow School and hires facilities at the school for the duration of its summer programmes.

What to Expect at Harrow School

Life at Harrow combines academic learning with a structured residential programme designed for younger students. Juniors and Scholars take part in interactive classes with a maximum of 15 students, giving them opportunities to participate, ask questions and learn alongside students of a similar age.

Outside the classroom, the wider programme includes organised activities and opportunities to spend time with other students. Juniors follow an age-appropriate programme designed for younger learners, while Scholars experience a programme suited to students beginning to develop greater academic confidence and independence.

Students are supported by Atlas staff throughout their stay, from lessons and activities to meals and residential life, creating a structured environment in which they can make the most of their summer experience.

Your Accommodation at Harrow School

Accommodation is included as part of both the Harrow Juniors Plus and Harrow Scholars Plus programmes, so families don't need to arrange it separately.

Students stay in standard shared-room accommodation at Harrow School, with full board included. Juniors and Scholars are supported throughout their residential stay by the Atlas team, with arrangements designed around the needs of their respective age groups.

Full accommodation and arrival information will be provided before the programme begins.
