Enterprise Explorers encourages students to see themselves as creators and problem-solvers. They'll consider how ideas develop, why some products or services appeal to people and what needs to happen to turn an initial concept into a more complete proposal.
Across the course, students will be encouraged to experiment rather than assume their first idea must be their final one. They'll have opportunities to test their thinking, respond to feedback and consider how an idea could be improved.
Outside their academic sessions, students will experience the wider programme alongside other young learners, combining their Enterprise course with the social and activity elements of their Atlas Summer Courses summer at Harrow.
What Will Students Study on an Enterprise Explorers Summer Course at Harrow?
There is no prescribed syllabus that every student follows. Atlas Summer Courses tutors shape their lessons around their expertise while ensuring activities and enterprise challenges are appropriate for the age and learning needs of the students in their group.
Depending on the tutor and age group, students could explore different aspects of enterprise, entrepreneurship, innovation, teamwork and communication.
They might consider questions such as:

How Students Will Learn on Enterprise Explorers
Enterprise Explorers is designed to make learning about enterprise active, enjoyable and accessible for younger students.
Ages 9–10 and 11–12
12 hours of small-group lessons
Across the week, students will take part in 12 hours of lessons designed to get them thinking, creating and solving problems in a fun and interactive way.
Lessons follow a routine of review, learning and application, helping students build their understanding before applying new ideas to enterprise challenges.
Tutors will seek to involve everyone and encourage students to explain the thinking behind their decisions.
Activities and stimuli will be age-appropriate and could include brainstorming exercises, business and enterprise challenges, problem-solving activities, discussions, teamwork and opportunities to develop and present ideas.
Students might, for example, identify a problem, develop an idea for a product or service, think about who might use it and consider how they could communicate its value to others.
Throughout the week, students will have opportunities to work independently and collaboratively, helping them develop confidence in contributing ideas, listening to others and adapting their thinking in response to feedback.
