Law Explorers is designed to make legal thinking active, enjoyable and accessible for younger students.
Ages 9–10 and 11–12
12 hours of small-group lessons
Across the week, students will take part in 12 hours of lessons designed to get them thinking, questioning and discussing ideas in a fun and interactive way.
Lessons follow a routine of review, learning and application, helping students develop their understanding before applying new ideas to legal questions and scenarios. Tutors will seek to involve everyone and encourage students to explain the reasoning behind their views.
Activities and stimuli will be age-appropriate and could include discussions, debates, fictional cases, problem-solving exercises, evidence-based challenges and opportunities to consider different sides of an argument.
Students might, for example, examine the evidence surrounding a fictional dispute, consider arguments for different outcomes or take part in a structured debate. The emphasis is on developing reasoning and communication skills rather than replicating professional legal training.
