How You'll Learn on Your Artificial Intelligence Course
Atlas Summer Courses' Artificial Intelligence summer course combines small-group seminars, tutorials and private study, giving you opportunities to explore computational ideas, analyse problems and develop your own reasoning.
Ages 16–17
18 hours of small-group seminars
You'll take part in six three-hour seminars, exploring artificial intelligence through discussion, problems, case studies and activities. You'll be encouraged to examine how different approaches work, question assumptions and apply computational reasoning to unfamiliar problems.
2 hours of tutorials
You'll have one tutorial each week, usually with your tutor and one other student. These focused sessions give you the opportunity to discuss the essay, problem sheet or other academic work you've been completing, explain your approach and receive detailed feedback.
Around 20 hours of private study
You'll complete reading and preparation for seminars and work independently on academic tasks for each tutorial.
Together, these different forms of teaching encourage you to participate actively, approach technical problems systematically and take greater responsibility for your own academic development.
